Career Exploration Training
PODER’s Career Exploration (CE) training serves as a prerequisite to participation in our two main job training options, Bilingual Insurance Licensing (BIL) and Latinos in Finance (LIF). In CE, students participate in a four-week course that develops general skills needed to enter the workforce such as resume and interview preparation as well as providing career options via guest speaker presentations.
This course also provides students with universal customer service and communication skills vital to any service industry position. Home study and class time are utilized to maximize review of concepts and to provide more hands-on and discussion activities. This training is open for learners 18 years of age and older. Students who complete this course receive a certificate from PODER and a Customer Service Institute of America (CSIA) industry-recognized credential.
Training Days: 4 weeks/ Twice a week
Location: Pulaski Site and currently virtually
